Assessment + Reporting

We see the formative use of all assessment and achievement data as a core component of our work

Students complete a variety of assessments throughout their schooling

Students complete:

  • Assessment Tasks (Learning Tasks) for every subject (Year 7-10).

  • End of Semester Exam for every subject (Year 7-12), with the exception of Careers and Home Group subjects

  • NAPLAN testing in Year 7 and 9

  • PAT Testing each year for Reading and Numeracy in Year 7-10

These assessments provide a comprehensive understanding of student progress and staff work in teams to analyse these data sets to ensure they cater to the learning needs of their students.

Students and Parents receive ongoing feedback throughout each Semester through Learning Tasks. The feedback is updated regularly, ensuring students and parents have a clear understanding of progress and areas for growth.

Additionally, each Semester an end of Semester report is published on Compass, which contains all Learning Task feedback from that semester.

Parents and Students are invited to conferences each Semester to discuss their learning progress. We find these conversations to be rich and rewarding, as they specifically refer to work samples, achievement data and areas for focus for the individual student.
