Message from our principal - Shannon Ross

At Woodmans Hill Secondary College, we are a strong and tight-knit community that prioritises the academic, social and emotional growth of all students.

We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment in which students feel connected and one that creates a true sense of belonging, because when students feel this way, they feel safe to take supported challenges in their learning and development.

At the heart of the ‘Woodmans Way’, are our three core values which underpin all of our work and provide a framework for how we communicate, learn and grow together – Respect, Determination and Excellence. We encourage all students to uphold and live these values every day.

Our work as educators, is focused on evidence informed teaching and learning practices which ensure that all learning needs are catered for our classrooms and our students have the best possible opportunities to excel and demonstrate strong growth throughout their time with us.

We prioritise building strong relationships with our students and working to support them to identify and pursue their individual pathway, whatever this may be.

We aim to develop confident and community minded young people who make contributions to our school and wider community, both as students and as adults upon completion of their schooling journey.

Our intention is for families to feel confident that, in choosing Woodmans Hill Secondary College, they are making the best choice for their child’s future. We are extremely proud of our students, their achievements, and the positive difference that we make to support each of them to realise their learning and life goals.

Together, we have the important responsibility of working side-by-side to provide a nurturing and supportive culture, ensuring that all students achieve their potential as responsible, caring and life-long learners.
