Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Woodmans Hill Secondary College, we prioritise the social and emotional needs of students alongside their academic needs. Learning cannot take place unless a student feels safe, heard and comfortable to take risks.

Evidence based interventions

We use a range of data and evidence to identify the wellbeing needs of our students in each cohort and to plan for whole cohort and small group proactive intervention. We focus on strengths-based interventions which build confidence, resilience, positivity and engagement.

Something we as a school pride ourselves on is the relationships we build - not only with students, but also the families, and understanding each individual's background
