Here at Woodmans Hill we have a First Nations Leader who coordinates a weekly Yarning Circle for all of our First Nations students.
This is a culturally safe space for students to express and participate in their culture as during this time we complete art works, yarning at our yarning circle and organise awareness, recognition and celebration days including Sorry day, Reconciliation and NAIDOC weeks as well as home group activities for all other students.
We also have cook ups and excursions to cultural centres and participate in off-campus programs.
Woodman’s Hill is dedicated to creating a safe and cultured space for all First Nations students who attend our school and we work hard to support students through their education journey leading to positive future pathways.
Our Pride group supports students from our LGTBQIA+ community to feel safe, heard and included at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. There are two groups within the wider Pride community: our Advocacy Team and our Pride Social Group.
At Woodman’s Hill Secondary College we aim to support our students and increase their capability to ensure that every student thrives at school and in life.
We provide assistance through our Learning Support team in a number of ways, including but not limited to, Social Skills programs, intervention lessons and providing cognitive breaks for students.
We work with students to ensure they have a sense of belonging, achieve success, and so that they can be the best versions of themselves
